Fordbridge Town Council
Fordbridge in Bloom 2016 Fordbridge Town Council is proud to announce the result of its 2016 garden competition. All properties in Fordbridge with a front garden are eligible to enter and the standard of the entries is always incredibly high. The competition is designed to celebrate the many wonderful gardens in Fordbridge but also to promote pride in the area and encourage residents to take an interest in their gardens and their local environment. The parish of Fordbridge is home to some absolutely beautiful gardens ranging from traditional lawns and flower beds, to pots and hanging baskets and some fantastic imagination to make the most of difficult sloping gardens. The Town Council takes the view that people who don't live here and may not have the most favourable opinion of Fordbridge should take the trouble to get down off their high horse and have a walk round they will be pleasantly surprised. The competition is judged independently and this year's overall winner was the fabulous garden of 91 Heathmere Drive. Each year the Council seeks to attract new entries to the competition and offers a trophy and vouchers to the value of £50 to the best new entry. This year's winner was 6 Clopton Crescent The prizes were presented this year at a joint event organised by Solihull Council as part of their "Neighbourhoods in Bloom" competition. Photographs of the winning gardens can be seen by clicking here. Why not enter next year's competition? You never know what might happen and you can't win if you don't enter! If you want to receive information about next year's competition then please contact the Clerk to the Council and he will send you the relevant details at the appropriate time next year.
