CHAIRMAN'S BOOST FOR AIR AMBULANCE

The Council welcomed a special guest to its meeting on 10th July. Adam Williams from the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity very kindly attended to take receipt of a cheque for £2,160.70 which is the sum raised by this year's Chairman's Charity Dance. The cheque was presented by former Chairman, Sarah McLaughlin who made the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity her chosen beneficiary. The Air Ambulance receives no financial support from government or the National Lottery and therefore relies entirely on charitable donations to provide the resources to perform its extremely valuable and often life saving work. The charity needs in excess of £7 million each year to maintain the three ambulances and medically trained crew. The Council is extremely proud to support this incredible service.
